LOS ANGELES, CA (SEPTEMBER 1, 1999) -- EMA Multimedia, Inc. and HBO Home Video took home two Discus Awards at the 2nd annual DVDPRO Conference, for its ground breaking DVD production of HBO's Emmy Award Winning "From the Earth to the Moon" film production. Honors included Best DVD Packaging and Best Educational DVD (ROM or Video).

Recognized as the most ambitious DVD title produced to date and EMA's most complex creative challenge, the 12-part mini-series was released on four discs (three video and one multimedia disc) featuring elaborate on-screen menuing and newly created interactive video animation, score and DVD-ROM content.

"We are very proud of the awards and that the DVD collection has been acknowledged at such a prestigious industry gathering of our peers," said Michael A. Pace, CEO/Creative Director of EMA. "It's an impeccable production. The passionate and creative inspirations that HBO Home Video consistently cultivates is truly evident in this endeavor."

EMA created several unique DVD video features including a "Virtual Tour of the Solar System," 3-D Models of the various spacecraft and the "First Walk on the Moon" trivia game. Also included are highlights of John F. Kennedy's mission speech to Congress, a "Timeline of the Conquest of Space," a " History of the Moon," and Apollo mission objectives.
